B&B Daniel I.C. Wang Award

About this program

Biotechnology and Bioengineering (Wiley) sponsors the annual B&B Daniel I.C. Wang Award to honor an early-career biochemical engineering/biotechnology researcher whose work exemplifies innovative problem‑solving and bridging of research to commercialization; the recipient receives a plaque and honorarium and is expected to attend the ACS BIOT session to receive the award and present a lecture. Applicants must have a publication in Biotechnology and Bioengineering within the past three years and be 35 years old or younger as of 31 December 2025 or within eight years of their Ph.D., with a demonstrated sustained commitment to the journal and its community. Nominations require two letters explaining how the candidate meets the criteria, the nominee’s CV, and a separate page listing name, current position, date of birth, year Ph.D. granted, and eligible publications, submitted electronically (PDF of signed letters) to biotechbioeng@wiley.com; nominations remain active for two years if eligibility is maintained.
