About this program
The APA, supported by a grant from the estate of Harold E. Berson, M.D., offers the Berson Senior Psychiatrist Award to recognize an experienced member who has made a significant contribution to psychiatry. The award includes $1,000 and a plaque and is presented at the APA Senior Psychiatrist Reception during the Annual Meeting. Eligible nominees must be members of the APA Senior Psychiatrist organization and hold APA Life Member or Life Fellow status. Nominations require a letter of recommendation submitted to rcook@nextwavegroup.net by March 1, with notification by April 30.
