Bert and Sally de Vries Fellowship

About this program

The American Center of Research (ACOR) offers the Bert and Sally de Vries Fellowship, a $2,500 award to support undergraduate or graduate students (any nationality except Jordanian citizens) participating in archaeological field projects or research in Jordan. Funds must be used between May 1 of the award year and April 30 of the following year to assist partial payment of essential expenses; applicants whose expenses are largely borne by their project are ineligible, and the fellowship may be combined with other ACOR awards. Applicants must be enrolled students at the time of application and submit an application form, academic acceptance or project director confirmation (or institutional acceptance for independent research), a project proposal (up to 2,000 words), transcripts (include both undergraduate and graduate transcripts if a first‑year graduate student), and one recommendation; applications are due annually February 15.
