About this program
The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, in partnership with Tinworks Art, offers the Beyond the Mountains Fund through an annual open call for artists pursuing innovative projects that fall outside traditional funding structures. The program will award one $10,000 grant and ten $5,000 grants to strengthen Montana’s arts ecosystem and expand artists’ reach and visibility.
Indigenous, emerging, mid-career, and established artists are eligible to apply, with priority for projects that take creative risks, explore new directions, and are difficult to support through conventional funding. Applicants should be connected to Montana or the broader Mountain West arts community.
