BGS Movement Disorder SIG Research Grant

About this program

British Geriatrics Society Movement Disorder Special Interest Group offers small grants (typically £100–£2,000) to support research, quality-improvement and innovation projects focused on movement disorders in older people; awards are made twice yearly (31 July and 31 December) and may be eligible for NIHR non-commercial partner status with potential CRN and NHS infrastructure support. Applicants must be members of the BGS Movement Disorder SIG and are generally medics or healthcare professionals with an interest in older people’s movement disorders; funds must be used solely for the proposed project and do not cover publication costs. Awardees must present their work at a BGS Movement Disorder Section conference, acknowledge the grant in publications/presentations, and submit a 250–300 word blog describing benefits gained.
