About this program

The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, in partnership with Iowa City’s Public Space One, supports the Big Field Fund, which awards $60,000 annually for publicly engaged, experimental, collaborative, and connective visual arts projects in eastern Iowa. Funding prioritizes artist-led initiatives that develop inventive models, support under-resourced creative communities, engage vulnerable systems or ecologies, or fall outside typical funding sources. Applicants must be visual artists or collectives proposing projects rooted in and serving eastern Iowa communities. Preference is given to projects demonstrating collaboration, public engagement, and responsiveness to overlooked communities or environments.
