Biotechnology Division Student Excellence Award

About this program

AOCS (American Oil Chemists' Society) offers the Biotechnology Division Student Excellence Award to recognize graduate students presenting outstanding oral or poster presentations within the Biotechnology technical program at the AOCS Annual Meeting, with benefits including a certificate, complimentary meeting registration, a complimentary Biotechnology Division meal ticket, up to US $500 travel allowance, and the opportunity to present an award lecture. Eligible applicants are graduate students presenting (oral or poster) in the Biotechnology Division whose abstracts concern biotechnological research and development of fats and oils and who have not previously received this award. Nominations/applications are submitted through the AOCS Awards Portal and must include completed application questions, an academic advisor letter of support, at least one additional support letter, university transcripts, a detailed CV, and the abstract submitted to the current year’s AOCS Annual Meeting & Expo.
