About this program
The National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) sponsors the Bobby Gunn Student Leadership Award to assist non‑certified professional-level athletic training students from District Four and District Eleven with travel stipends and waived registration to attend the NATA Clinical Symposium & AT Expo. Established in 2007 to honor Robert “Bobby” Gunn, one recipient from each district is selected annually and honored at the NATA Annual Meeting during the Pinky Newell Scholarship & Student Leadership Breakfast. Applicants must be NATA members enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate professional athletic training program, be members of District Four or District Eleven, have not previously attended the Clinical Symposium & AT Expo, and hold an NPI number; applications are accepted each year from December 1 through January 31.
