Brainerd Lakes Area Difference Maker Grants

About this program

The Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation offers Difference Maker Grants of $5,000–$30,000 for new or expanding projects that address community challenges and create lasting, broad impact in the Brainerd Lakes area. Priority areas include opportunity gaps, food insecurity, housing and homelessness, safety, mental health and wellness, and workforce or career development. Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) nonprofits, schools, and government entities serving Crow Wing and southern Cass Counties in Minnesota; individuals, political organizations, religious activities, completed projects, and event sponsorships are generally ineligible. Applications are due January 15, 2026, at 11:59 p.m., with applicants limited to one submission per grant cycle.
