Bridging investments in abortion and contraception research

The Society of Family Planning, a nonprofit organization, offers grants of up to $100,000 to support the completion of terminated NIH research grants focused on abortion and contraception in the US. This funding aims to ensure that research efforts contribute to just and equitable practices informed by science. Eligibility is limited to tax-exempt organizations representing principal investigators of NIH grants (R or K series) terminated after January 20, 2025, with case-by-case consideration for other federally-funded grants. Proposals must align with the Society’s mission, include a detailed plan, justified budget, and timeline, and are accepted on a rolling basis with awards announced within a month of submission.
