Bruce Schley & Roger Brunn Memorial Scholarship

About this program

Community Foundation of Dunn County awards the Bruce Schley & Roger Brunn Memorial Scholarship to support Dunn County residents pursuing education or training in construction-related trades, providing multiple $1,000 scholarships annually funded by the Builders FirstSource Golf Outing. Eligible applicants are current Dunn County residents—including graduating seniors from Boyceville, Colfax, Elk Mound, or Menomonie High Schools and other county residents—who are applying to or enrolled in accredited technical schools, colleges/universities, or approved training programs in trades such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and drafting/design. Preference is given to applicants who describe how their life has been impacted by cancer or suicide and to those who submit a signed, typewritten letter of recommendation; current high school students should apply via the Community Foundation of Dunn County online scholarship portal. Applications are accepted year‑round on a rolling basis; inquiries may be sent to info@cfdunncounty.org.
