BSR Student Travel Grant

About this program

The British Society of Rheology (BSR) Student Travel Grant provides student members with support for travel to national or international conferences or for short research visits to disseminate rheology research and build networks, with awards up to £300 (national) and £800 (international) for conferences, and up to £500 (national) and £1,000 (international) for research visits. Eligible applicants are student members of the BSR worldwide who are presenting a paper or poster or undertaking a short research visit; applications must use the BSR form and include conference details and abstract or host institution and visit synopsis, a projected cost breakdown, and a supporting letter from the research supervisor (plus a host letter for visits). Awards are judged on scientific excellence and career benefit; applicants may apply only once per 12 months and may receive no more than one award in any 3‑year period, and payment is made after submission of a report suitable for the Society’s Bulletin.
