Canada Section W. Lash Miller Award

About this program

The Electrochemical Society (ECS) Canada Section offers the W. Lash Miller Award to recognize excellence in publications and/or technical contributions in electrochemical science and technology and/or solid‑state science and technology; the award carries a C$1,000 prize and is presented at the Canada Section meeting in odd years. Eligible candidates are Canadian residents who have completed their last advanced degree no more than 15 years before the award year and who have demonstrated independent research in academia, industry, or government; ECS membership is not required. Nominations must be made by at least one ECS member and include an electronic nomination form, a one‑page summary of merit, a detailed statement of contributions, lists of publications/patents, academic and professional history, and up to three reference letters. Recipients are expected to deliver a lecture at the designated ECS Canada Section meeting; unsuccessful nominees may be renominated.
