Canadian Society of Agronomy Graduate Student Pest Management Award

About this program

The Canadian Society of Agronomy (CSA) offers the annual Graduate Student Pest Management Award to support graduate research relevant to pest management, providing $500, an inscribed certificate, and a Bayer Canada–funded travel grant of up to $1,000 to attend the CSA annual conference and deliver a minimum 15‑minute oral presentation. The award is presented at the CSA conference; the Pest Management Award presentation is not eligible for the student oral competition, though recipients may enter a separate oral or poster competition with a different presentation. Eligible nominees must be graduate students enrolled at Canadian universities and current CSA members, and are evaluated by the CSA Awards Committee primarily on performance in relevant subject areas (50%) and the novelty and feasibility of their research. Completed application forms (updated March 2026 on the CSA website) must be submitted to the CSA Executive Director by April 30, with applicants notified by email in early June.
