Career Contribution Award — GSA Structural Geology & Tectonics Division

About this program

The Geological Society of America’s Structural Geology & Tectonics Division awards the Career Contribution Award to individuals whose sustained, distinguished work has clearly advanced the science of structural geology or tectonics over their careers. Nominees need not be U.S. citizens or GSA members; the award is not given posthumously unless the decision was made before the nominee’s death, and nominations are retained for three years (a new nomination may be submitted thereafter). Required materials are a nomination cover sheet (PDF), a summary statement of major career contributions with a list of noteworthy publications, the nominee’s CV, and a statement of adherence to GSA’s Code of Ethics & Professional Conduct; supporting letters are optional—submit nominations or questions to Laura Webb, 2025 Chair, SGT Career Contribution Award Committee (lewebb@uvm.edu).
