Career Development Grants in American Music

About this program

The American Musicological Society (AMS) offers Career Development Grants in American Music to support students and educators specializing in American music. Grants of $800, including complimentary Annual Meeting registration, aim to facilitate participation in the AMS Annual Meeting, enhancing knowledge and professional connections in the field.

Eligible applicants include educators at all levels (K-12 and higher education) and students enrolled in bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral programs, with a demonstrated focus on American music and legal residency in the United States. Recipients must attend at least six American Music track sessions and specified cohort activities at the Annual Meeting in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
