About this program
Weill Cornell's Clinical & Translational Science Center (KL2) offers a Career Development KL2 Scholar Award to support cohorts of postdoctoral scholars (MD/PhD), junior faculty, and senior residents/fellows pursuing clinical and translational research through structured coursework, mentoring, e-learning, and seminars. Scholars receive salary support, research expense funding (supplies, travel), and protected research effort—typically 75% (50% for surgical specialties)—for appointments of up to three years, concluding with an Advanced Certificate or Master's in Clinical Translational Investigation. Eligible applicants are MD or PhD postdoctoral scholars, junior faculty, and senior residents/fellows who can commit the required protected effort and engage in mentored clinical/translational research and prescribed coursework.
