Caregivers ACT Attendance Travel Grant

About this program

The Society for the Teaching of Psychology (STP) offers the Caregivers ACT Attendance Travel Grant providing $500 to offset caregiving-related expenses (e.g., transportation for a care provider, care-provider accommodations, and caregiving fees) for STP members attending the in-person Annual Conference on Teaching (ACT); eligible expenses must be directly tied to having a care provider (not general conference costs). Applicants must be current STP members who either serve as a caregiver or require a care provider to attend ACT, be the only caregiver in their family applying, intend to attend ACT in person, and maintain membership through grant receipt and final reporting; priority is given to applicants from underrepresented groups and to those who have not recently received STP travel or attendance grants. Applications (including basic demographics, a description of caregiving needs, and prior STP travel/grant history) are due by June 15 with recipients announced by July 15, and grant recipients must submit a brief (100–200 word) post-conference report when requesting reimbursement.
