Cave Conservancy of the Virginias Grant Program

About this program

The Cave Conservancy of the Virginias (CCV) provides grants ranging from several hundred to tens of thousands of dollars for education, outreach, conservation, property protection, cleanup, and scientific or humanities research involving cave and karst resources in Virginia, West Virginia, and the immediate vicinity. Applicants must submit through a 501(c)(3) or other tax-exempt nonprofit organization, which receives and administers the funds; projects involving underrepresented minorities or first-generation college students are especially encouraged. Proposals are due by noon Eastern on February 15 or August 15 and must be submitted as a single PDF, including a cover letter, project summary and description, detailed budget without overhead or indirect costs, qualifications, and suggested external reviewers. Previous CCV-funded projects must have submitted required reports, and funded projects require a final report within 60 days of completion.
