Chakrobortty Fellowship Program

About this program

The American Urological Association, in collaboration with the Indian American Urological Association, offers the Chakrobortty Fellowship to fund two promising junior Indian urologists to visit U.S. host institutions for 2–3 weeks and attend the AUA Annual Meeting (May 15–18, 2026), providing a stipend and opportunities to observe surgeries, clinics, and academic activities (no hands-on patient care). Selected scholars must promptly arrange visas and provide English‑translated, up‑to‑date immunization records commonly required by U.S. hospitals (e.g., Hepatitis B, MMR, Tdap, varicella, influenza, COVID-19, TB). Eligibility requires being a urologist practicing in India and a member of a local or national Indian urological organization, age 42 or younger at application, holding an MD/MBBS with rank of instructor or higher, within the first 10 years of certified urology practice, an AUA member, and competent in English.
