Charles H. Williamson Memorial Scholarship Fund

About this program

The Community Foundation of Central Georgia administers the Charles H. Williamson Memorial Scholarship Fund, which awards one new recipient $10,000 per year (renewable for up to four years) to attend the University of Georgia. The award is limited to graduating seniors of Central High School in Macon, GA who have been accepted to and plan to enroll at UGA. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and demonstrate a caring attitude, high moral character, leadership, and citizenship; selection factors include scholastic merit, personal character, financial need, and indicators of potential to succeed. Applicants must provide the name and email of a teacher or counselor to submit a recommendation via the Foundation’s scholarship portal, and prior recipients may renew annually by meeting renewal requirements and maintaining eligibility.
