CIEIF Grants for Climate Intervention Field-Test Impact Assessment and Stakeholder Engagement

The Climate Intervention Environmental Impact Fund (CIEIF) offers grants of $75,000 for proposed climate intervention field tests, supporting environmental impact assessment, predictive impact modeling, and engagement with potentially affected stakeholders. For the sixth grant round, applications are due December 1, 2026, with decisions expected by February 1, 2027, and funding distributed in milestone-based installments. Applicants must describe a technically supported, innovative, and potentially scalable field test; address environmental, economic, social, health, safety, permitting, insurance, funding, and consulting considerations; and provide a budget focused on at least one eligible activity. Applications must be in English, no more than 20 single-spaced pages, include personnel and organizational information, and confirm willingness to publish results and be identified as a CIEIF grantee.
