About this program

The New York Community Trust’s Civic Affairs program funds nonprofit initiatives in New York City that strengthen democratic participation and government accountability. Support focuses on voting access and education, election and government reform, civic engagement among immigrants and youth, and civic learning in communities with low participation. Eligible applicants are nonprofit organizations whose projects align with these priorities, including efforts that provide nonpartisan voter information, build civic capacity, or improve public engagement. Organizations can apply through the Trust’s grant portal and attend information sessions for new applicants.
