About this program

The Henry Luce Foundation’s Clare Boothe Luce Program offers institutional grants (up to $750,000) to fund higher-education initiatives that increase the number of women in math, science, and engineering by addressing structural and cultural barriers. For 2026 the program is limited to projects that address barriers faced by women in Astronomy, Mathematics, and Physics. Eligible applicants are colleges, universities, and higher-education programs proposing interventions to recruit, retain, and advance women students and early‑career women faculty in these fields. Applications are submitted through the Luce grants portal (unsolicited inquiries accepted); program staff can be reached at WomenInSTEM@hluce.org.
