The American Academy of Dermatology offers the Clarence S. Livingood, MD, Memorial Award and Lectureship, which provides a cash award currently set at $10,000 and an invitation to deliver a plenary lecture at the AAD Annual Meeting. The lecture should address broad issues in dermatology, such as ethics, professionalism, socioeconomic and organizational concerns, or the art of dermatology. Nominees may be physicians or nonphysicians, including health policy experts, ethicists, philosophers, or theologians, but must be recognized experts with excellent, demonstrated communication skills. Applications or nominations submitted by January 15 are considered for the current selection cycle, and nominations remain active for five years.
