Claudia Alexander Award for Advancing Inclusive Excellence in STEM

The American Geophysical Union (AGU) offers the Claudia Alexander Award for Advancing Inclusive Excellence in STEM to recognize individuals or teams who have developed programs, systems, or networks that measurably advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in the Earth and space sciences; the prize includes $10,000 to further the honoree(s)’ work, an engraved award, recognition at AGU’s annual meeting, meeting registration for a winner or up to two team members, two hotel nights, and two Honors Reception tickets. Nominees may be at any career stage and must demonstrate sustained, measurable impact through mentoring, advocacy, or program/system/network development; teams may include institutional partners or collaborators and are not limited to AGU members. Nominators and co-nominators must be active AGU members (self-nomination is permitted), all parties must comply with AGU ethics and conflict-of-interest policies, and submissions are accepted 5 January–2 March.
