Clinical Pilot and Feasibility Award

About this program

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Clinical Pilot and Feasibility Award supports human-subject or human-sample studies that develop and test innovative hypotheses or methods relevant to cystic fibrosis. Awards provide up to $80,000 annually for single-center studies or $150,000 annually for multicenter studies, plus 12% indirect costs, for up to two years, with possible supplemental funding. Applicants must be independent investigators or fellows who will hold a faculty-level appointment at award time; industry-sponsored projects and continuation funding for existing studies are ineligible. Letters of intent for the Fall 2026 cycle are due April 2, 2026, with full applications due August 16, 2026.
