Clinical Research Grant: Collaborative Research Studies

About this program

The ASHFoundation offers Clinical Research Grants of up to $50,000 for one-year collaborative pilot studies that advance audiology or speech-language pathology treatment efficacy, assessment, implementation, or service delivery. Projects should generate preliminary data and support future large-scale collaborations and external funding, with interdisciplinary partnerships encouraged; the next program will be offered in 2027. Eligible applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent research doctorate in communication sciences and disorders or a related field, demonstrate potential for independent research, and propose work with direct clinical relevance that is a new effort rather than an extension of existing funded research. Proposals must include a qualified collaborator and detailed research, collaboration, management, budget, and—when applicable—IRB plans; indirect costs and conference travel are not supported.
