Clinical, Translational and Outcomes Research Award (CTORA)

About this program

The AASLD Foundation offers the two-year Clinical, Translational and Outcomes Research Award, providing $200,000 ($100,000 annually) to support early-career investigators conducting liver-related clinical, translational, or outcomes research. Applicants must be within five years of their first faculty appointment, be AASLD members, commit at least 50% effort to the project, and have an AASLD mentor and eligible nonprofit sponsoring institution in the United States, Canada, or Mexico. Projects must be conducted at the sponsoring institution, and applicants may not hold comparable early-career salary-support awards; applications are due December 7, 2026.
