About this program

Coefficient Giving (formerly Open Philanthropy) is a philanthropic funder that partners with leading donors to multiply their impact, having directed over $5 billion in grants since 2014; it offers grant funding across thematic funds such as Global Health & Wellbeing, Biosecurity & Pandemic Preparedness, Farm Animal Welfare, Air Quality, Science & Global Health R&D, and other high-impact cause areas. Funding is intended to accelerate scientific progress, policy change, and scalable interventions—from vaccine and diagnostics R&D to lead exposure elimination, clean-water technologies, and advocacy campaigns that change corporate or government practice. Applicants should be organizations or research teams whose proposals clearly align with one of Coefficient’s priorities, demonstrate rigorous evidence or plausible pathways to large-scale impact, and present a credible plan and track record for execution. Priority is given to projects that address neglected high-value problems, can influence policy or practice, or have strong potential for durable, measurable outcomes.
