Cogan Award (ARVO)

About this program

The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) offers the Cogan Award to recognize a promising researcher whose contributions advance understanding of human eye or visual-system disorders. The recipient presents the Cogan Award Lecture at the ARVO Annual Meeting and receives a plaque, complimentary registration, hotel, travel, and per diem support. Applicants must be 45 or younger by the March 1, 2027 deadline and demonstrate significant research contributions and strong future promise; nominees and nominators need not be ARVO members. Nominations open November 1, 2026, and must include a nomination letter, supporter information, summary statement, Google Scholar link, and CV.
