Community Development Grants

About this program

The New York Community Trust supports community development initiatives in New York City that strengthen low-income neighborhoods and create economic opportunities for residents. Grants may support affordable housing preservation, job creation, innovative community development financing, organizational capacity building, and policy research or advocacy, with priority given to projects promoting community participation. Eligible applicants are nonprofit organizations undertaking citywide or local community development activities benefiting low-income communities. Prospective applicants should consult the Trust’s nonprofit guidance and eligibility resources before applying.
