Community Emergency Relief Fund (COVID-19)

About this program

The Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties administers the Community Emergency Relief Fund (CERF), established in March 2020 to accept and strategically disburse funding for COVID‑19 emergency response and other community-wide disasters in Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties. Grantmaking priorities are frontline assistance to households and individuals—especially vulnerable populations—support for Loudoun human services nonprofits facing significant income losses, and flexible, collaborative grants for highest-impact responses; CERF has awarded more than $129,000 toward rental relief and local nonprofit grants. Eligible applicants include affected households and individuals in Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties, human services nonprofits based in Loudoun County, and collaborative groups addressing community-wide emergencies.
