Community Foundation Competitive Process

About this program

The Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo offers competitive grants to maximize impact across the eight counties of Western New York by funding projects that advance one of its four Board‑selected Community Goals. For 2026 the competitive process is a single‑stage full application (letters of intent eliminated), and applicants must align proposals with a specific "Solution" under a chosen Community Goal. Eligible applicants are nonprofit organizations serving the Foundation’s eight‑county region, and all applications must be submitted electronically via the Foundant Grant Lifecycle Manager; paper, emailed, or PDF submissions are not accepted.
