Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee - General & Special Requirement Scholarships

The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee (CFMT) administers an annual, centralized scholarship application (opens Dec 1 at 8:00 am CST; deadline Feb 1 at 11:30 pm CST) that awards donor-funded general and targeted scholarships to students with financial need, specific school‑area or field‑of‑study criteria, and employer- or school‑based qualifications; decisions are released April 15 and checks are sent to colleges mid‑July, split between fall and spring semesters. One application covers many funds, including general scholarships and special‑requirement awards for middle and high school students in specified counties, named schools, and employer‑based programs. Applicants must meet each fund’s specific eligibility (financial need, residency/school/county affiliation, or employer relationship as required); employment and other criteria are verified during review and recipients must complete follow‑up forms by June 1.
