Community Impact Fund Grants

About this program

Madison Community Foundation offers Community Impact Fund grants for program and capital projects that improve the lives of Dane County, Wisconsin residents or enhance local environments in arts and culture, capacity building, community development, environment, and learning. Eligible applicants include Dane County-based 501(c)(3) nonprofits, qualifying organizations with a major Dane County presence, and governmental entities such as schools and municipalities; organizations may submit one application per cycle. Applicants must demonstrate effective, sustainable approaches, measurable outcomes, organizational capacity, and preferably collaborative partnerships, with at least one-third of project funding raised before applying. The 2026 cycle has ended; future applicants must first submit a spring Letter of Inquiry through MCF’s GoApply portal before being invited to submit a full proposal.
