Continuing Graduate Student Mentor Awards

About this program

The Computing Research Association (CRA) offers the UR2PhD Continuing Graduate Student Mentor Awards, a supplemental stipend program providing up to $250 per year to graduate students who continue to mentor undergraduate researchers in the UR2PhD program. Applications must be submitted before term-specific deadlines (Spring: Mar 1, 2026; Summer: Jun 1, 2026; Fall: Oct 1, 2026) and all milestones must be completed by Nov 30, 2026, with payments processed in December 2026. Applicants must have completed the UR2PhD graduate student mentor training and be actively mentoring UR2PhD undergraduate mentees; priority for limited funding is given to domestic students (U.S., Canada, Mexico citizens or permanent residents). Awardees are required to submit at least two milestones (a research poster and a final reflection), complete an Independent Contractor Agreement and any required tax or direct-deposit forms, and report the stipend as taxable income.
