Convention Opportunity Travel Grant

About this program

The Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES) offers up to $500 in Convention Opportunity Travel Grants to subsidize travel for non-student members presenting papers at its Annual Convention. Awards are based on the paper’s intellectual merit, disciplinary and regional balance, and financial need, with preference for first-time presenters and junior scholars lacking institutional support. Applicants must be regular ASEEES members reporting income below $40,000, present on a regular panel, and not be eligible for student or regional scholar grants or have received this award within the past three years. Applications, including a paper abstract, travel budget, statement of need, and CV, are due May 20.
