Corrosion Division Morris Cohen Graduate Student Award

About this program

The Electrochemical Society (ECS) Corrosion Division offers the Morris Cohen Graduate Student Award to recognize outstanding graduate research in corrosion science and engineering; the award includes a framed certificate, USD $1,000 cash and up to USD $1,000 toward travel, and the recipient is expected to present a lecture at the ECS fall meeting. Nominations are submitted via the ECS awards nomination form and are accepted annually (nomination period typically Oct 15–Jan 15). Eligible nominees are graduate students who completed their MS or PhD within two years prior to the nomination deadline, and a complete package must include the electronic form, nomination letter, a 2–3 page summary of the nominee’s research and promise, degree completion date, publications/memberships/awards list, academic record, and reprints/preprints.
