Cottrell IMPACT Award 2027

About this program

The Research Corporation for Science Advancement (RCSA) offers the 2027 Cottrell IMPACT Award to recognize a Cottrell Scholar or Holland Award recipient whose leadership and service have made a national impact in science; the award includes a $5,000 cash prize, a plenary talk at the Cottrell Scholar Conference, and national promotion. Eligible Cottrell Scholars must have received their award in 2015 or earlier and hold an academic position at a research university or primarily undergraduate institution, while Holland Awardees are eligible regardless of award year; previous IMPACT recipients may not apply. Self-nominations and nominations by institutional colleagues or Cottrell Scholars/Holland Awardees are accepted by November 18, 2026, with invited applicants submitting a biosketch, impact essay, and two support letters by January 21, 2027.
