CRI Technology Impact Award

About this program

The Cancer Research Institute’s Technology Impact Award provides seed funding of up to $600,000 over 2–4 years, plus up to 10% indirect costs, for high-risk, high-reward technologies with potential to transform cancer immunotherapy. The program supports early-stage, pre-development innovations—not refinement of existing technologies or clinical trials—including novel computational, profiling, visualization, culture, and therapeutic platforms. Applicants must hold a tenure-track position at a nonprofit research center or institution; collaboration between technology developers and clinical cancer immunologists, including co-PI applications, is encouraged. Letters of intent are due November 16, 2026, and invited full proposals are due March 12, 2027.
