Critical and Point-of-Care Testing Research Grant

The Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (ADLM) Critical and Point-of-Care Testing Division offers a $5,000 Critical and Point-of-Care Testing Research Grant to support outcome studies and small-scale pilot research in point-of-care testing, prioritizing clinical laboratorians who need limited funds to pursue novel or underfunded ideas. Eligible applicants are clinical laboratorians proposing point-of-care testing research; proposals are judged on originality, scientific significance, scope, soundness and achievability of the research plan, and potential to translate into practice or lead to further work. Review also considers the degree to which ADLM funding is critical to project initiation, importance to the applicant’s career, adequacy of facilities, and a satisfactory budget.
