Culpeper Arts & Culture Program

About this program

Rockefeller Brothers Fund’s Culpeper Arts & Culture program offers grants, residencies (including the $25,000 Pocantico Prize with a two‑month residency at the David Rockefeller Creative Arts Center), and other resources to support organizations that center artists in creating and presenting work addressing pressing social issues in New York City. The program prioritizes historically underrepresented artists (e.g., BIPOC, LGBTQ+, women, nonbinary, disabled) and supports artist-led organizations, collectives, and cultural leaders by funding time, space, materials, education, and paid opportunities. Applicants must be organizations (the RBF does not fund individual artists or filmmakers), must primarily serve artists living in New York City, cannot receive funding for capital expenses, and may only submit unsolicited requests during the program’s annual call; grantees must wait three years after a grant’s final payment before reapplying.
