The Dane G. Hansen Foundation, in partnership with the Greater Northwest Kansas Community Foundation, offers the Dane G. Hansen Community Grant to support charitable projects in Northwest Kansas, including Thomas County. This grant funds initiatives in education, healthcare, economic development, community services, conservation, arts, and beautification, with a total annual allocation of $50,000 distributed in April and September. Eligibility is restricted to nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status, educational institutions, governmental entities, and religious institutions, excluding individuals and businesses. Applicants must participate in the Strategic Doing initiative, and applications are reviewed monthly with deadlines on the last day of each month until the program concludes in 2025.
