Daniel S. Lehrman Lifetime Achievement Award

The Society for Behavioral Neuroendocrinology presents the annual Daniel S. Lehrman Lifetime Achievement Award to honor senior scientists for lifetime contributions to behavioral neuroendocrinology; the award is an honorific (no specified monetary prize) and includes the opportunity to present at the Society’s annual meeting (2026 meeting in Lexington, KY, July 12–15). It recognizes sustained, significant original research, distinguished scholarship, consequential service and leadership, and effective mentorship in the spirit of Daniel Lehrman’s integrative experimental and mentoring legacy. Eligible nominees—active or retired—must have served as Full Professor (or equivalent) for more than 10 years; nominations require a detailed letter (multiple signatories allowed) describing research, scholarship, service/leadership and mentorship (including notable mentee contributions), plus a current CV.
