David Halliday and Robert Resnick Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Physics Teaching

About this program

The American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT), through the John Wiley & Sons–endowed David Halliday and Robert Resnick Award, recognizes outstanding achievement in undergraduate physics teaching—including innovative instructional methods—and awards the recipient a monetary prize, certificate and citation, travel expenses, and the opportunity to deliver an address at an AAPT Summer Meeting. Nominees must be AAPT members for whom undergraduate teaching is a primary responsibility. Previous winners of the Oersted Medal or the Robert A. Millikan Medal are ineligible, and self-nomination is not permitted; nominations must be submitted via the AAPT nomination form.
