DEIS Graduate Fellowship (IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society)

About this program

The Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society (DEIS) of IEEE awards an annual Graduate Fellowship to support one‑year Ph.D. research projects in electrical insulation and dielectric phenomena, selecting 2–5 recipients each year with an initial payment of $3,000 and a $2,000 final payment upon publication and presentation at a DEIS conference. Applicants must be full‑time Ph.D. students who are IEEE student members or have applied for student membership at the time of submission; previous recipients are not eligible. Priority is given to DEIS members and to applicants whose major advisor is a DEIS member, and proposals are competitively refereed by the DEIS Education Committee (calls open each April; contact Prof. Christian M.
