Endocrine Society’s Delbert A. Fisher Research Scholar Award, supported by Dr. and Mrs. Fisher, provides a $2,000 honorarium and the opportunity to deliver the Clark T. Sawin Memorial History of Endocrinology Lecture at the Society’s ENDO annual meeting to a scholar who has demonstrated exceptional work in preserving the history of endocrinology. Applicants must be current Endocrine Society members; nominations require contact information, a proposed lecture title, a 150-word statement of the topic’s importance, and up to 500-word outlines of seminal discoveries, lessons/insights, and how the topic relates to the nominee’s work (where applicable). Selection is made by a panel including the Annual Meeting Steering Committee chairs and the Endocrine Society President, and the lecture should present a broad, scholarly narrative of historical milestones with personal insights for ENDO attendees.
