Disaster Recovery Grants (Hurricane Helene) - Polk County Community Foundation

About this program

Polk County Community Foundation is accepting rolling Disaster Recovery Grant applications to support local organizations providing direct assistance to individuals and organizations impacted by Hurricane Helene, funding direct storm relief, repair or replacement of storm-related damages to nonprofit facilities and equipment, and support to meet increased or future needs resulting from the storm. Grants have a recommended maximum request of $25,000, with requests of $5,000–$10,000 more likely to be fully funded. Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) nonprofits or public agencies serving Polk County, NC and/or Landrum, SC residents that are pre-approved to apply for competitive grants through the Foundation. Applicants must review the Foundation’s Guidelines & Funds for Nonprofit Organizations and apply via the Foundation’s grants portal; expenses related to nonprofit closures or rescheduling activities are not eligible (contact Noah Wood at grants@polkccf.org or 828-859-5314 for assistance).
