Distinguished Contribution to Accounting Literature Award

The American Accounting Association invites nominations for its 2026 Distinguished Contribution to Accounting Literature Award, recognizing an article, monograph, or book that introduces consequential new perspectives and significantly advances accounting research, education, or practice. The recipient(s) receive an award and $2,500, presented at the AAA Annual Meeting. Eligible work must have been published in print from 2011 through 2020 and demonstrate exceptional originality, impact, breadth, clarity, and methodological soundness; joint nominations of related publications by the same authors may also qualify. Any individual or group may nominate, including self-nominations, by January 31 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time, submitting the work’s DOI and electronic copy along with a nomination letter of no more than 500 words.
